numpty Gimp question
« on: 21 April, 2008, 09:36:28 pm »
OK, I've downloaded the Gimp and am having a play. I can't even do the basics.  So how do you change the paint colour on your brush?

Thanks in advance

Halfway down the tool box, om the left, you will see a black rectangle overlaid on a white one. These are the foreground and background colours. Double click on either and you should get a dialogue to change it.

These should get you going

Groking the GIMP

Basic GIMP

There are also loads of web sites with more advanced tutorials and examples. Have fun.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I bought a copy of Gimp novice to professional and found it money well spent. On the old site someone pointed out a place where it is possible to get a copy much cheaper than from Amazon.

I don't know how old MiniQ is, but if she's too small for Gimp, then Tux Paint is good fun.
