What will go wrong for Hincapie this year?
« on: 29 March, 2009, 11:37:42 am »
I note that Hincapie is missing out on the tour De Panne soon to avoid risk of injury prior to Paris Roubaix and the tour of Flanders.

As someone posted on another forum - Hincapie has such bad luck that if he were to make it to the velodrome in Roubaix ahead of the bunch, the stadium would collapse underneath him.

Why won't he win them this year?

Because he's the leadout man for Cavendish.

As much as I'd love to see it, I don't think that cav could manage those races.

I read something in a newspaper recently that suggested Cav has a good build for Paris-Roubaix - punchy and powerful. And George got him to the front of Milan- San Remo... I'm sure it will be interesting.

He will not have any problems.  Being so strong for others has paid off.  God will reward him for his hard work.  Faultless ride culminating in a fantastic win.

I will be utterly shocked if cav gets Paris Roubaix. Paris roubaix requires a very special kind of rider not just someone who is awesomely fast.

Someone who doesn't mind pissing blood for a couple of days afterwards!1
