Elsewhere a discussion has come up about what bike-based weapons you should use in the Zombie Apocalypse.  But they're not cyclists and so suggest things like slings and pistol crossbows.   Miss fail fall crunch braiiiins....

We can do better, can't we?  How would you go tooled up en velo

I used my pedals to do that to your wheel once...  ::-)

I had wingnuts on my trike wheels for a while. A very similar effect :)

Recumbents are quite good anyway - that big sharp chainwheel at the front end

The old greasers' weapon of choice, the bicycle chain, would be appropriate. Not 3/32nd though.

Method of use: drop coiled chain to full length, swing, twist through 45 degrees - which converts floppy chain to rigid flail.

My Rear Derailleur of Death works just fine. Regularly cuts through the zombie hoards of Peckham and can open an errant 4x4 like it's a large can of tuna.

Windcheetah with lateral pylons carrying Mossberg 500s or Franchi SPAS 12s or equivalents. Also rocket launchers, just for fun.  Rear rack-mounted flame guns (but you need the special Nomex version seat).  Katana slung over the back of the seat, ready for overarm draw.

It wouldn't go very fast, except downhill, of course.

  • Tandem tail gunner.

  • Flick blades mounted within the ends of flat bars.

  • Nutty (with tools) strapped to bars, business end forward. There's a slim chance he might get one of 'em, before disabling himself.

A bicycle powered chariot would provide a good battle platform for accurate deployment of lowtech missiles!  ;D
