She's OK but very bruised and grazed. We were on a training ride for the Manchester to Blackpool charity event in July and just getting into a good pace. I think she touched my back wheel because I felt a slight sensation and then heard a scream. By the time I had stopped and thrown my bike into the hedge she was down and not moving. There was a really horrible minute or two when she was concious but couldn't speak and I've never been so scared in my life. Fortunately she began to talk, albeit completely incoherently and there was no sign of serious injury.
The ambulance got to us in about ten minutes and after three hours in A&E and X-rays to confirm no breaks we finally got home at midnight. She's very sore and stiff this morning but smiling in between feeling tearful.
I'd just like to say a public thank you to other cyclists, motorons, joe public and health peeps who were all outstanding.
