Eh?  But...but...

Last seen on a fence in Mildenhall! Seriously, someone nabbed it whilst we were packing up our stuff after the cycle rally. We didn't see them - it was just there one minute and then gone the next... ??? ;D

Have Suffolk Police managed to nail the miscreant?

The only reason I used the word "assumption" was because I'm not sure if you're going to turn completely bent and start drinking Cinzano or something  :P

Bastards!

Are they canoeing or kayaking? What's the difference anyway?

There was a group of about 10 canoes all with two or three blokes in and all wearing cheap far eastern rip-off copies of your hat. I couldn't get a picture of the group as they passed me because I was paddling my kayak up stream through some quite fast moving water and if I'd stopped paddling I would have been washed back down stream. A couple of minutes later I was in some calm water and these two stragglers passed and I managed to get a picture.

They are canoeing - single ended paddles. Kayaks have double ended paddles.

I thought the difference between canoe and kayak was primarily the shape of the boat (a canoe is open, a kayak enclosed).  Typically, paddles differ as described above - but paddling a kayak with a single-ended paddle doesn't make it a canoe ...

(... or does it ?  ;))

I spotted that hat in Channel 4's HQ at Horseferry Road, recently.  Wish I'd had a camera on me.
