I was a lanky, spotty, ugly, geeky kid with terrible hair and no confidence so had plenty time to develop and harbour crushes that would never, and could never, come to anything.
And look at you now--tall, confident, secretly ogled by at least one forum member, a proud member of the cycling community, in possession of a fine stable of bikes.
In short, you've squandered a fine heritage. You could have spent these last years cultivating your natural abilities, but no--you've spent all that energy "improving yourself" and "maturing." Feh.
Think of what you might have had--the rich array of unnerving public behaviors, the ever more complex and powerful odors as you developed into a fully awkward adulthood, the complete disconnection of self-image from reality, the truly transcendent social ineptitude.
Still, to each his own; in this day and age, it's best for the rest of us to accept and respect your lifestyle choices. But please--don't hate me for being what you might have been.
