Just caught up with that - that is a serious ouch. I'm still cringing.

Liked the reaction of the kids though.

Last time I visited Ron Cooper's workshop (about 3 years ago) I was told that he still dabbled a couple of times a week. Mind you, would you want a frame built by an octogenarian?  :-\
This isn't just a thousand to one shot. This is a professional blood sport. It can happen to you. And it can happen again.

Presumably if you'd been unfortunate enough to loose a finger, you'd have been an incomplete tosser, then?

On the other hand, had Steve ended up deficient in the digits department, no-one would ever be able to call him a complete idiot ever again.  :demon:  ;D

Joking apart, compound fractures always get full-scale deflection on the cringe-o-meter...  :-X

Hope you heal quickly though :)

I noticed on the right hand x-ray that you have something small embedded in your hand.

How's it going today Steve?

OK, still stiff, hand is all sewn up and in plaster cast and sling after yesterdays operation, legs are easier uncomfortable but useable to hobble around.
Right hand swelling has gone down but still a weak grip "Rogerzilla NO ;)"

Thanks and to others who have e-mailed and texted  :)

I phoned CTC RJW line today to set the ball rolling and I'm keeping receipts of train/cab fairs incurred etc, hope to retrieve the bike and get that assessed.

I did one, well sort of, just four photos, one a week.  Some professor got ahold of me to get permission to use them in lectures, and then later in a book.   ;D
