Not like you to be taken in by an unsupported throw-away comment. Then again if you are cream-crackered by the Winstone climb, it was a bit of a tail twister.
Great ride, great day and my fastest 200k in the 5 years I've been Auking, getting in comfortably under 9h, and having not rushed any of the controls either. Indeed I probably spent far too long supping tea at Badminton. Now if all 200Ks were as easy as this I'd do a fair few more each year
