Really hypoallergenic suncreams
« on: 30 May, 2010, 04:20:38 pm »
Last weekend I was out sculling on the river for several hours, and wore some Piz Buin hypoallergenic suncream on arms, shoulders & neck. The rash is just beginning to go down...

30 years ago I was tested as allergic to EDTA, and I would be surprised if I wasn't also allergic to other preservatives, and possibly some active ingredients.

Does anyone here with sensitive skin have any experience of truly hypoallergenic creams or blocks and could make some recommendations, even if general rather than specific brands? All info gratefully received.

Have to dash to take this merino jumper off as it's killing my arms.  :(

I find I react badly to the ones with chemical sunblock in them, but I'm better with the ones which contain physical sunblock, so I stick to Dr Hauschka and Neal's Yard.
