N+1 - Its Milly the Mezzo
« on: 01 July, 2010, 09:51:54 pm »
I've just got my new Mezzo in the kitchen. Second hand D9 from e-bay and metallic pink. Now I just have to put the DVD on and fold; unfold etc!

AIUI the important thing with these is to make sure the front wheel is in properly before riding.  Do you know what it weighs?  It should be slightly lighter than a Brompton, I think.

Excellent bikes.  I've had one that has moved on through various bits of the Family and all that use it give positive comments about it. Rogerz is right abouth the front wheel thing. One of my first unfold and ride sessions I realised that the side of the wheel that is on the inside when folded was in a dodgy state. Didn't come out but I think that was just Luck!

I've not yet named my Mezzo.  I found the DVD disappointingly short.  Lovely bikes though, aren't they?

It needs a name as we now both have Mezzo's!
Mine is slightly newer than Dudley's and has a diferent catch for securing the front wheel; we're thinking of seeing if they sell the part for a retrofit.

I'm not sure what it weighs - it's all packed up ready to go to the boat so I'll weigh it sometime  later and post the result for info.

Should be good; although not sure about the saddle.
