yacf meet FNR ride the 11th of July.
« on: 03 June, 2008, 07:54:18 pm »
Since blackpuddingonabike is down this way (London that is) on the 11th of July. I'm thinking we should make a ride out of it and since it is a Friday evening I could make it into a Friday Night Ride too.

The wee Scotsman did moan that there are no hills down here, so I'm planning a little route in the N, NW area of the big smog, too make him feel right at home.

Route, would be around the 15miles with a few stops for drinking resting.
Start point, Swiss Cottage would prolly be the best
Start time, meet up at 1830 for a 1900 take off.

And in true FNR form we will end up in Brick Lane for bagels.

More details to come closer to the date.

What time's it likely to finish?

Do we have a destination?
The N London YACFers could do a ride to your destination.
I could start a Milton Keynes based ride to meet with yours.

Well that all depends ...

Normal FNR's finish near the bagels place around 23:30 or a in a pub centrally and then off for bagels or we just stay on the roads and head home when people need to head home, it is never a rush just a pootle in the big smog and good old natter  :)

It sounds like a cunning plan.  I've never done a FNR, other than the FNRttCs.
Actually, it is rocket science.

 ;D ;D ;D

Sounds good to me! (must check on time I can get back into the hotel - I may end up crashing on someone's floor!).

I should point out as well that I 'aint no Scotsman, but rather, if you believe the Scots, a 'Scotsman with his brains bashed in'.... (a Geordie to you and me, even though ah divvint sound like it - see what I did there...  :P)

Woolly, I know a guy on the LFGSS site what I said I'd meet when down as well who is a freelance photographer - can I presume it would be alright to ask him along?

My post-redundancy travel plans are all over the place, so I may or may not be around. If I am, I'm there!
