Find Mr Gates at the course. You can't miss him. We'll be nearby.

Bugger. Just started to rain.

It's fine in Manchester this morning and the forecast looks good.

I'll be wearing my yellow yACF top when I get to Tatton.

Good luck in the race folks

The Ladies are going well :D. Charlotte is on the course now :). Mr Gates, Phil and us are in the vicinity of the pit stop, ready for the changeovers. Come and say hello if you are here.

According to Twitter, last year's winner Jim Brailsford and the Czech team had the most laps in the last ten minutes, but that was before it finished.

Hmmm I've lots of pictures.
Lots and lots and lots of pictures.

The fastest riders were the most difficult to photograph, naturally.
Ergo Charlotte was difficult to photograph. She was up there with the most determined riders.

Now to upload all these goddam pictures. I can't promise to get many processed tonight.. I need an early one as I'm going to the airport at stupid o clock tonight.

Bob's fault I've got all these pictures. I wasn't even going to take a camera until I read his post this morning.

I'm sorry I missed you guys.
To be honest, gone through so much $hit recently I'm not terribly good at being sociable.

The racing was fantastic, as was the atmosphere. Really was a top day.

An excellent afternoon, with a great atmosphere ( I didn't take many photos as I had the kids in tow, managed a fleeting hello to Butterfly and Clarion - nice to meet the two of you), saw Mr Gates doing sterling work as pit crew (and others on the course whose faces I couldn't put a name to).

Will try to add photo once I worked out how to...

Here's a photo to give a taste - Charlotte coming through on Joff's right.

Jim Brailsford won the race after Josef Zimovcak from Brno in the Czech Republic was disqualified for reckless riding. Josef was not able to be called in and completed more laps than Jim. Both are pictured here, Jim in front.

Other stills here, Knutsford Great Race - a set on Flickr   my friend Dave will have much better stills, I was mainly shooting video. Nice day out.

Exit Stage Left, you have a great photo of Charlotte! Loving the lean angle.

This is my favourite capture so far:

The Lens I took was produced some great results. When I could get it to focus!

1600 more pictures to trawl through... :)

And on edit: The flame haired one stealing an early lead

Just seen that one - fantastic picture, but :o

It's possibly a good thing I couldn't go - I suffer from extreme lily-livered cowardice on other people's behalf as well as my own.

Jim Brailsford won the race after Josef Zimovcak from Brno in the Czech Republic was disqualified for reckless riding. Josef was not able to be called in and completed more laps than Jim.
That explains the a robust discussion I saw between Josef and a marshall, in different languages, neither apparently understanding the other, before Josef remounted and carried on.

It was also good to see the team of 4 young lads on their 27" penny mixing it with the full size machines.

As I understand it, after the Individual Winner was announced (107 laps), then Charlotte and Kat were presented with the Ladies' Prize.  They'd done 105 laps.  The organisers presumably felt that the Team Prize should go to the next best, who had done around 94 laps.  Hence the Stewards' Enquiry.

I guess that the prize giving presupposes that the Ladies' Prize will be a sort of consolation for the poor weak girlies who would otherwise not be in with a chance at the silverware.   ;D  :o
