Well I can reassure you that at about 14 weeks Poppy reduced her biting significantly, and when she does bite now it's generally not painful unless she's in a strop. She has transferred most of the biting to the many toys she has, which works better. Mind you, she does still bite sleeves which is irritating but has reduced the shoes/crocs/trouserleg biting to when she's in a strop.

It's all SOOOOO much easier when you can take them out on walks and they get tired from that.

Poppy has only broken the skin on my hands 3 times in all her biting - I think being a Spaniel with a soft mouth helps. And of course she's tiny.

Poppy is 18 weeks tomorrow and now weighs 4.2kg. Both ears still down, occasionally wet when she falls head-first into the pond.

haven't seen you around much Del - are you full-time Puppy-sitting? When is Indi out and about?

Poppy would make a light snack for Indi. ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

Not full time, long days though. Training is going well and he's not biting so much.
Last vaccination two weeks time and first walk soon after.

It wouldn't go down well with AH thobut.  ::-)

Fantastic  :) I'd forgotten that the ears take a while to pop up.

Is he good natured apart from the pup-style biteyness?

I read this thread last night, going "squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" all the way through, and last night I had a dream that I had a a duck and several ducklings, a pig and piglets, hens and three Alsatian puppies, all living in the garden (I don't actually have a garden) and the puppies would round the ducklings up.

Yikes, growing fast. I keep on thinking of it in terms of Taliskers, in which case he now weighs almost four Taliskers. ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

That kennel looks a bit small for Indi.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

You could get him tagged, then he wouldn't need such a distinctive collar.

We'd have a problem seeing him in the dark though.  ::-)

It'll be great once you can walk him, makes life so much easier!

Purchased one of these reflective harness and lead today.  Because he's black, at least mostly black he has tan spats and half a dozen white hairs on his chest, and with nights drawing in and dark mornings ahead it'll help him be seen.

It's a large size and too big for him ATM but I'm sure he'll grow into it.  ::-)

I bought a harness for Poppy (X-small) when she was 10 weeks old and she still doesn't fit into it. I had to buy an XXSmall for her which she's currently using.

We have a couple of spare Lupis and stuff like that for large dogs (lab sized) if you'd like them?

Puppy training yesterday and he was a lot more active.  Scared of a yellow Lab puppy, 1/3 his size, but not phased at all by the Wookie posing as a Newfoundland, an adult dog five times his size.  ???  He got over his fear/shyness though and ended up running around with the other pups.

First real walk today when we walked a mile(ish).
