So.

Anyone else a fan of Mr Zevon or is it just me listening all night long to Mohammed's Radio?

Top man!

It's just annoying that I was never alive for any of these guys.

Can't believe I missed this thread! I play so much Zevon in the car that "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" is one of my 10 year old son's favourite songs.
What's this bottom line for anyway?

He was something else.  Have been happily reminded of him by this thread and have been playing him a bit.

Last night while I was cooking in the kitchen, one of the tracks from the tribute album 'Enjoy every sandwich' came up on my i-thingy - it was the Pixies cover of 'Ain't that pretty at all'.  It's great.  Big, loud, dirty and stupid.

We were roughly of an age and appearance.I can remember his early records marked my soul when they first appeared. He was a troubled individuall but seems to have ended up with a sensible life.
Apart from M's radio one about methadone addiction seemed to strike a cord.

Musically i lost sight of him.Nice reminder...
I shall read about his life on Wikpedia.
Thanks.
