Took pot luck at this years Celtic Connections with Sierra Hull.  Great musician, but didnt think her songs were very good.
On the other hand, the support band, Awkward Family Portraits were excellent.

Soweto Kinch came down to our monthly jazz venue.  He was excellent, the place was packed.

Tedeschi Trucks Band with Blackberry Smoke as support at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.

Both were excellent but I'm not enamoured of the venue. Wish I had seen them at the Albert Hall last year.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Saw a comedy gig last week in Ely, Glen Moore and another up and coming Indian comic who I think should do well.

Julian Cope (solo) at the Barbican. He struggled with the tech side of things ("my eyes are like piss-holes in the snow" - surely not helped by wearing shades) but made up with "copious" good humour and enthusiasm, and his voice is still largely intact.

Explosions in the sky were on good form last night.  Not the best I've seen them, but still very much enjoyed the night.
All-seated concert @ glasgow royal concert hall:  It felt like everyone in the central 20 seats got up to the toilets and/or bar about 10 fukkin times tho

Rich Hall, plus various other comedians, Up The Creek in Greenwich last night.  He was teh Aces, just for describing Slithy Gove as resembling "an owl in a centrifuge".
