Pictures from today's tandem ride:

Meeting at Richmond Park this morning

Butterfly

There were biscuits...

... and last minute fettling...

Catriona takes a breather before we start

Jurek and PGTips follow her good example.

PGTips demonstrates that you don't actually have to pedal on the back.

Do you think I'm wearing enough sun cream?

Clarion and Butterfly were undoubtedly the most elegant tandemistas of the day.

Strings of tandems!

Butterfly, we loved the cute dress with cycling shorts underneath - inspired cycle wear.  I fancy The Current Mrs R might well follow your lead.  She has been known to wear a little skirt over cycling shorts which looks fab and a dress is a natural progression.

Not sure about the chap steering your tandem.  Wouldn't be one of those northern types would he?   ;D

Wonderful pics (I can only see Zipperhead's at work, will have to wait till I get home to see those from Liz), looks like everyone had a great time  :)

Clarion - you look like you're fighting for control there

Charlotte - did you manage to get back on 3 wheels (or did you come a cropper like I did when I had a go on that recumbent of yours at Sutton Park  :-[ ) ?

Great pictures, Zips!!

Here's a question - why do most tandems have bar bags, even for an ickle pootle?  ???

I'm not happy with them. I've just noticed that this forum resizes them to 640 pixels wide. I have always been reformatting them to 700 pixels (based upon long forgotten sizing on another SMF forum), and the double resize is affecting the quality.

I'll change my resize filter tonight and redo them.

The first one at the Diana fountain in Bushey Park and the second one in Windsor Great Park at the start of the Long Walk.

Is it just me, or do the group shots with stokers standing indicate that Jonathan is now taller than me?   :-\

Lovely photos!

I would think that Jonathan is the tallest of all the stokers and it won't be long before Zipperhead is relegated to the back seat.

I reckon you'd still 'ave 'im in a fracas, though, Liz.
