I quite like the effect of the trees, it does make the cathedral look less harsh.

Do Beatrice and Eugenie know how awful they look? One of them looks as if she is sprouting horns  :o

Like something off Fraggle Rock.

I think the trees may help the acoustics, the choral stuff sounded lovely.

This has got to be the most watched C of E service ever

Though it's a little too trad for my liking.
My personal preference is for more modern liturgy, which the C of E does have aplenty.
But P Charles would have nothing of it, as he is patron of the Prayer Book Society!

Just flicked up and down the international news channels, Fox, CNN, France 24, ND24, Euronews (and CCTV Chinese news) are carrying the service live. Only notable exception is Al Jazeera, good for them!

Love Divine was a top choice - Jerusalem is of course technically not a hymn...  ;)

Jerusalem is considered politically incorrect and insenstive in my part of the world!
Great tune though - especially with the trumpet embellishments!

Finally figured out what it reminds me of. The final scene in Star Wars were they all get their medals

I think it's the same trumpet music. They'll do the Imperial March down the aisle at the end.

I want everyone to sing a song about my gran at my wedding.

How many cameras have they got in the abbey?

I went for a stroll round the outside of the Abbey, and up the Mall to Buck House yesterday.
There are cameras everywhere.
Across from the Abbey, in Horseguards and across from Buck House in Green Park cameras atop crane platforms.
Outside the abbey, where the limos draw up, there is a false 'monument' made of wood painted to look like stone, filled with cameras and one on a long boom. Similarly at the palace, the fountain is boarded up with a scaffolding platform covered with wood.
Every news camera in the UK must be along the route somewhere.

Friend of mine is a BBC cameraman.  I must find out later where he is.

Funnily enough, it's Star Wars on the telly in our house today.  Boys were given a choice of that or royal wedding - not a leading question in the slightest from Dearly_Beloved there :)

Who the feck are they!?  Scarey mentalists.

I did feel a bit bad for their mum being snubbed like that, but she'd have probably out-garished her daughters, so it was probably a good thing on taste grounds
