Aiiiii. MBN. The address of where I have to be has Llobregat as part of its name. Hmmm. Great for the airport......

I suspect my hotel will be a ride away.

Is that anything like Llareggub? Maybe you'll get a glimpse of the sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboatbobbing sea.

It will neither be spring nor moonless...

BN: its raining and town is onr big puddle.
GN: I've just discovered that i can ride home from the station without putting a foot down.
BN: a wetsuit might have been more appropriate than denim, but maybe less so for the cinema. I'm soaked after less than 10 minutes out.

GN: I managed to get tickets for tomorrow's Proclaimers concert at Edinburgh Castle.
BN(GN): My daughter qualified for a gala in Sheffield the same weekend. I am in Sheffield
GN: I (unsurprisingly) managed to sell my Proclaimers tickets in minutes - at face value - on Ticketmaster
BN: The Travelodge was £234 for the 2 nights
GN: The Hilton was £212 and is MUCH nicer
GN: I am <5 mins from the pool. Watching other people's kids swim up and down a pool in a humid viewing area is not my idea of fun.

Sheffield to Edinburgh and back, that's about 500 miles, right?   ;D
Careful, Kim. Your sarcasm's showing...

500M of swimming is more than enough :-)

One consolation is that I shall soon witness the mighty River Don Engine running in Steam. Followed closely by a pint in the Millowners' Arms.

GN: The wait for my new flat is nearly over. I signed the contract today
BN: It won't be ready for a month
GN: The lounge overlooks countryside and Warwick racecourse
BN: My (for-now) wife will soon find out that my daughter will be moving in with me. Do we have a shit-hits-fan emoji?

Good news: i've cleaned, oiled, checked over and ridden up the street on half a dozen bikes today.

Alarming news: in preparation for N-several.

Good news: you've not missed the adverts, I've just gone to the beach to meet an old friend and recover from the shock.

Not entirely unrelated...
BN: I've pulled my back
GN: it's hot enough for sandals, so i didn't have to bend over and do socks and laces.
BN: it's hot enough that this heat pack feels sweaty already.
More BN: holding hadlebars is the wrong sort of bending.

GN - I’m in Japan, albeit for work.

BN - It’s “sauna season” and around 90% humidity.

At some point in the ride, you might find yourself in Osaka with Spanish speakers where you had expected Edinburgh talking Greek. This does not mean you are lost, or even off route.

BN: We have returned to being a two car household (give it 18 months and that might well become 3).

GN: The place I am currently contracting at have extended my contract to keep me in work whilst the pre-employment checks complete. This means I will have more than enough to cover for the above (the first part, not the second!)

It must be slugs, slugs, slugs
Nothing more, nothing less,
Slugs are the best

I took the shell off my racing snail, after all it stands to reason that a lighter more streamlined racing snail will go faster. Imagine my chagrin when it just made him more sluggish.

GN: They demanded I reclaim £772
