Good News: Delighted to see lots of white aerosol paint on the surface of the moon Westferry Road (Part of my commute) which is pock-marked, cratered and pot-holed like the aforementioned natural satellite, to the point where the bad bits outweigh the good bits (thank christ it's now light when I'm going along there).
Bad news: Man with a bucket O' tar remedy has been applied.
Man also had a road roller either with with no weight to it or with moguls built in to the profile of the drum.
Or both.
Or he just didn't bother rolling it.
Well done LB of Tower Hamlets, no really, superbly well done.
You probably think this measure will prevent the sprained ankles and subsequent law suits when the London Marathon takes place along that road on the 21st of this month.
It won't prevent the former.
You've chucked money at it and it is just as $h!t as it was before and, in places, worse.
You do this every year.
Congratulate yourselves.
EDIT: Sorry people. Somehow this has turned into a bit of a rant. I could not help myself.
