Methinks if you had an X-ray at this point, it would only show tiny wisps of new bone betwixt the fracture ends, or less.
X-ray appearances do lag behind fibrous union but realistically, an adult mid-shaft humerus takes around three months to join.
The metalwork is doing a lovely job of holding things in place and allowing lightweight activity.
I really wouldn't chance it, sorry.
There was almost nothing bridging the fracture gap in my then 9 year old brother's forearm when they took him out of plaster 26 days after his injury.
I was mortified that they were leaving him unsupported.
I told him to be sensible.
He was.
(Brother is 19 years my junior. I took him to Fracture Clinic as Mum was working. I had worked in Orthopaedics for a year at this point.)
