What about Cyclodelic? They do some interesting dresses and so on for cycling. I fancy one of their capes but they don't seem to be listing those at the moment.

Have you just come into a fortune, Butterfly?  I mean, their cycling dresses are nice and all, but for £110, I think I'll stick to Primark!!

They have some quite good sales though ;D. Unfortunately not generally when I have any money.

purple FTW :-)
Kathy, was that purple top the 'no angel' one? I haz that, it goes with my purple pinniped bike with the purple bar tape. What's this about purple tyres?

There should be a new purple campag titfer waiting at work for me next week...

Lots of girly stuff at Team Estrogen. YMMV.

I don't think so, if you wear shorts underneath, but loose dresses are :)

Right then, please remember we are not scrutinising my poor taste in fashion. If I like then that's all that matters. What I'm asking for is a critque on their suitability for riding short gentle rides. Either on the Gringo or my possible future drop tube. Thank you.

Does it match your eye colour  ;D

Will you be wearing flip flops......absolutely no idea.  Dress with what you feel comfortable with thats what I do.  Apart from the gorilla suit that was just sweaty.

Being a 3/4s and T-shirt girl myself I've kept out of this so far but I think all those look good. You have a good eye for what suits you.

You really need to re-seed that lawn though.

Those are all good.  I really like the third one.

I really like the first one! :). They will all be fine though - although you need to check that the third one doesn't catch on the saddle - being less full, it might do. Go for a ride - you'll soon see if they work.

They all look good on you. Personally I would wear a looser fitting top with the second one, because a tiered style skirt like that can make people's waists look chunky even when they are not unless the top is longer than waist length. It would look good with something a bit more floaty or blousey.

I am sure you could ride a bike fine in them all, so long as the skirts don't get caught over the saddle, so just check this first on a short ride :)

Thank you everyone.

Firstly, let me address the issue of the lawn. I moved into my privately rented accommodation in October, my first flat ever with a garden. I learned that the flat had been rented to various people over the years and I learned that the garden in a span of 15 years or so had hardly been touched. Been left to go wild.
Now spring has arrived I have had a chance to cut back, deforest and burn out the growth. The lawn I'm sorry to say will suffer greatly before it gets better as I plan a serious burn of the lawn. Yes, I plan on dosing the lawn with weedkiller, burning off the debris, digging up the soil to clear the tree roots of the seedlings, before digging over again and then and only then will I even consider reseeding the lawn.  ;D

Back to the dresses. The left one went back, I wasn't happy with the sleeves. The middle one is actually a dress, not a skirt/top combo.

And I won't be wearing flip flops!

Perhaps there's a marketing niche then: SPD-compatible flipflops!

I liked all three dresses too, Trailrat, though I thought the second one was a separate layered skirt and was about to suggest it as being the most cycle-friendly on account of its conduciveness to a more stretched out riding position.  But floaty skirts and putting the hammer down are somewhat at odds with each other, a fact I think I've yet to realise myself.  ::-)

Well I wore my skort with leggings on the commute this morning and got a wolf whistle LOL. Not sure that was what I was after but I must look like a girl in it. Unless it was shock at how white my legs are.
