That was a great report, thanks! Very itchy-feet inducing.

What a great report and some fantastic photos, makes me want to go there.  I've ridden up to Berwick and north from Inverness a few times but have somehow managed to miss the big bit in between (Except rushing through on an E2E) I'll have to do something about that.  I know what you mean about anti climax, I felt the same on the train home yesterday and haven't been able to do anything usefull today except dream about the next one.  Maybe I should follow your example and write a report.

Reports are always good, if only to make CrinklyLion a bit jealous ;)

It was a good trip, though - I spent plenty of time in a bit of Scotland which, like you, I'd either rushed through or bypassed previously.

Aye, the Duke's Pass was really pleasant.  I had looked at the offroad alternatives, but there was hardly any other traffic (excepting deer), so it didn't seem worth it.

The track up from Killin had at least one gate, from memory.  But mostly I remember being really frustrated at having to brake for the narrow chicanes and curves and lose all that momentum.

ISTR making a comment about blowing games and soldiers, giving up on the daft forest roads, and riding the Duke's Pass, and I agree it is most pleasant.  The viaduct photos bring back some very happy memories.  And what a grand time you had of it.  Smashing ride report Deano.

ETA:  Union suspension bridge - WIN.  Love it.  Also, cycling over the causeway to Lindisfarne, definitely need to tick that box Deano, preferably with a stonking tailwind  :)

Thanks, C.  Quite interesting.  It was the graffiti that caught my eye the most on the one I saw :)

The Doctor's was modelled on the London version.  In Embra we got the Georgian New Town version.  :)

That was nice Deano. I haven't been around on here much for a while. I think you may have started something!

Thanks, Tony.  I found the instructions for fitting those low-riders recently, BTW..
