It would appear that as of this weekend, I shall be living in sin with the beautiful Liz of this parish

Were this not reason enough for a celebration, we've arranged to rent new premises, just round the corner, in order to store our large collection of velocipedes and other related tat. After work tomorrow, I'm collecting the keys to a rather large, detached private garage with electrical power and a water supply. It really is a quite splendid place and is going to be the venue for many a group fettling session in the future.

If you happen to be in the vicinity of Ealing on Wednesday 16th July, you are invited to a garage-warming party.

We shall meet in Richmond Park (Spanker's Hill, naturally) and ride in a graceful convoy back to chez nous, whereupon barbecues will be lit, sausages cooked and beer consumed.

All those wanting to see our sturdy ceiling beams say "aye"

Actually, it's all been a good while in the planning. We've been seeing each other for quite a while and it seemed like a good wheeze.

Just don't add up both our n+1s or we'll get embarrassed...

Oh, Monty already has me quite well trained. I've got to know the difference between the playful headbutting / purring that means "cuddle me" and the headbutting that means "feed me now or I'll take a crap in your cycling shoes."

I have to confess it was the first thing that crossed my mind a few months ago when the Noble Charlotte announced something really good but couldn't go into details at that point. That turned out to be her becoming a CTC Director (or whatever her official capacity is).

This sounds like a much better reason to celebrate.
