It would appear that as of this weekend, I shall be living in sin with the beautiful Liz of this parish  :D

Were this not reason enough for a celebration, we've arranged to rent new premises, just round the corner, in order to store our large collection of velocipedes and other related tat.  After work tomorrow, I'm collecting the keys to a rather large, detached private garage with electrical power and a water supply.  It really is a quite splendid place and is going to be the venue for many a group fettling session in the future.

If you happen to be in the vicinity of Ealing on Wednesday 16th July, you are invited to a garage-warming party.

We shall meet in Richmond Park (Spanker's Hill, naturally) and ride in a graceful convoy back to chez nous, whereupon barbecues will be lit, sausages cooked and beer consumed.

All those wanting to see our sturdy ceiling beams say "aye"   ;D

Blimey that was quick. I am sure it is less than an hour since you proposed such an arrangement Charlotte. Anyway, I'm really pleased she accepted and I hope you will be very happy.

Now Mrs. Wow and I will be returning from Yorkshire on 16th July.

This sounds tempting. I'm tempted. I shall now go and tempt Mrs. Wow.

Mmm starts thinking of a reason to be in the Smoke next Wednesday ...

Congrats to you both.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Her furniture?

::-)

Actually, it's all been a good while in the planning.  We've been seeing each other for quite a while and it seemed like a good wheeze.

Just don't add up both our n+1s or we'll get embarrassed...   :-[

Is Liz bringing a cat into this arrangement?  Or will you share Montezuma?

It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

You have this completely wrong. Montezuma is looking forward to the arrival of a new member of staff.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

Oh, Monty already has me quite well trained.  I've got to know the difference between the playful headbutting / purring that means "cuddle me" and the headbutting that means "feed me now or I'll take a crap in your cycling shoes."

Gosh, I didn't.  Are you two, like, a couple then?   O:-)

But I do have to say a Bah! though, this is such a LondonCentric cliquey forum innit.  I can't come and play as I can't get that far after work.

Have fun.

I have to confess it was the first thing that crossed my mind a few months ago when the Noble Charlotte announced something really good but couldn't go into details at that point. That turned out to be her becoming a CTC Director (or whatever her official capacity is).

This sounds like a much better reason to celebrate.

And many congratulations!  :D

Agreed. Mrs. Wow and I have been shacking up pretty much since 1974 waiting for a forum. Then just as you get kicked off one, another comes to take its place!

It's mainly the London contingent - it's all they ever think about :D

Have a lovely time guys. Tis a great pity the garage in quo is so far from Derby, bikes and BBQs are such a happy combination.

Err, sort of  8)

Inna queer, polyamourous, urban-family sort of a way.

I think it's fair to say that once you're sharing a tandem, workplace spouse benefits and gym membership, there's no point denying coupledom.

But we're not getting married, okay?  Living in sin is way too much fun  :demon:
