No-one's mentioned Adam Hart-Davis yet.

Our first lecture on the maths-for-engineers course at Brizzle began with him cycling into the lecture theatre (something that wasn't normally encouraged) in his trademark pink and yellow lycra, and enthusing about the various works of Brunel for about an hour, while dismantling his bike and using the component parts to molish an automagic egg-boiling machine.

What's not to like?

Dr Reece's lecture on eigenvectors the following week has to have been one of the biggest disappointments in history.
