Mrs G did a lovely variation to the GMTV duck breast with plum sauce glaze.
She made it without any sugar.
It was awesome.

I'm not posh enough to have "supper", unless it means the cake/trifle/yogurt or whatever that I have - with plenty of cream! - at 9p.m.

Damn, that looks tasty!

I had homemade lentil, potato and bacon soup, followed by homemade king prawn and ginger in filo pastry with sweet chilli dip. It was nice, but I'd have swapped it for that steak. Mmmmmmmm.

Cheese and tomato baked rice. Which has gone wrong (well, the recipe is wrong), and is in the microwave being rescued.  :smug:

We were tidying the garden today and worked up an appetite so it was an Indian takeaway (10 mile round trip from where I live). I am very full now ...
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Almost the last of the figs for pud tonight. They've been few in number but absolutely gorgeous this year. Yum.

The tree spent 3 years in a large bucket but we planted it in fresh soil 3 months back and it's set loads of fruit for next year already!

There's a blue moon over Kirriemuir tonight, so it's my turn to cook.
A variation on spaghetti carbonara: poach some smoked haddock, and fry spring ingins and a little chopped bacon. As the pasta cooks, beat three eggs, with some cream cheese.
Drain the pasta, pour in the egg mixture and stir in until it's just cooked. Then stir in the flaked fish, bacon and onions. Top with some parmesan.
Nummity num.
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

Bagels with cream cheese and whatever I find in the clearance bin when I pop to the co-op before it shuts later.

Don't they get a bit shirty about you rooting around their bins?  Surely it would be better to wait until it's dark.

I didn't buy any cycling gear from Aldi but did get a can of the mussels to try.

Very nice with a few odds and sods, splash of white wine and spaghetti. Very quick and easy too.

Linguine and meatballs. Last night I ate in the pub and had a very nice grouse.
