I think that my pitch is just behind MSeries (LW56), and I'm catching a fairly early train up, so hopefully we will be able to introduce ourselves whilst still sober.

Well if you trip over our tents (LW16) on your way back from the pub, do say hello.

Definitely up for Friday night beer drinking.

We have arranged to swap our car pitch (which we bought off Alans and Marj when they dropped out) for a lightweight pitch. The only problem is we have no idea where we will be. A nice chap from the campsite organisers left me a message saying to just turn up and ask for him and he will sort out a pitch for us. So we could be anywhere in the lightweight area.

So what is it to be? Red carnations in the button holes, silly hats, odd socks?

But how would you differentiate us from all the other CTCers?   ???

look for the ACF cap..

Or, in our case, look for a small black hole in the world fruit cake supply.

Good plan so long as there are no under cover smiley police in the pub.  ;D

Reg, in the case of David, look for a petit dark-bearded nutter with an AUK cap.

Unfortunately I have lost the AUK cap. The beard is going grey, and I don't think I could be called petit (short yes).
Look for an ACF cap and two kids (one of each) on Giants.

I'll not comment about the nutter bit.. Half squirrel me.

That nice chap may become reetrackedoff(that's northen speak for less nice) if Marj decides she is fit enough to travel & we want another pitch amongst the caravans ;D

On the contrary we would be delighted if Marj is well enough to attend. Maybe she should give you some lessons in cake baking  ;D

I might be up to going to the pub, we will have to eat and we have agreed that if we go we will be eating out a good deal of the time. I do enjoy the York Rally and I am already having withdrawal symptoms, just the thought of not going.

Hope to see you all there.

I'm sure you could borrow a ride on the tandem recumbent to get to the pub... Save strain on the knees.

Or we could sort out some sort of tow if required..

Too far for me, with a non-cycling family  :(

I wish they had it in the Midlands.  Who cares about the Scots?  ;)
