That was a definite arallsopp sighting.  Unfortunately, cars are a lot slower than Beanie on a Bent, so we didn't catch him up.

That counts as a good start to the day.

Andrij, on a Moulton, heading East along High Holborn around lunchtime.  We were a pied, and hailed him, but his steely determination drove him onwards with no backward glance :(

Imagine that was me.  Wheeling an Orange Roberts?
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

Wheeling an Orange Roberts?

That being, presumably, the same Orange Roberts that was on top of the car in front of us as we drove onto the ferry at Calais at the end of August.  It's quite a striking machine.

Good grief. Yes, if you were on the 16.05 on August 31st.

Small world.

That's the one. Metallic orange as I recall. And it is striking. I was on the blue Pompino, I think (been swapping bikes a bit, this week)

Forumites are like buses, you don't see any for ages then two come along at once . . .

First Tiermat calls at the shop closely followed by that Si_S.

Coffee, a good natter and mending bikes. A great start to any Saturday.

That sounds about right - we'd set off from the south Ardeche in the morning and headed directly north across the Massif Central to avoid the nightmare of the A6.  Had a silver Lemond Tourmalet on the roof with blue wheels.
