I missed that there was a new series of Robot Wars until a few days ago, dammit. Luckily it's all available on iPlayer. I do like Robot Wars. It's very silly, and the camera seems to spend too long focused on the crowd rather than the action (although it's much better than the last series in that respect) but sometimes it is genuinely thrilling. This week featured a grudge match between the champions of the last series, Apollo, and the runner-up, Carbide. Both robots have been upgraded since the last series and it made for some spectacular action. Also: Angela Scanlon. Sigh.
Also enjoyed the first episode of the new adaptation of Decline & Fall on Friday. Some reviews have been a bit sniffy about it, but it's so long since I read the book that I don't really have any preconceptions. And I laughed a lot. I now want to read the book again.
