Most enjoyabe morning. Thanks to Huggy for the navigation and OD for bacon sandwiches.
Luckily for me home life and the garden benefitted greatly for bailing out early.
Might be planning a 200km DIY  for the weekend of 14th April if any one fancies. Either 200km via Newmarket, Ely, Bury St Eds and Sudbury or 240km fish and chip run to Aldeburgh (visiting the best fish and chip shop in East Anglia - allegedly - per the Guardian)
I'll let you know details nearer the time.

The 14th April is the lastest in a number of anniversaries of the date of my birth so I'm told by TCMH that I'm busy that weekend, also I have a leaving party for my nephew going off the Army.  Unfortunately won't be able to join you on your quest for the best fish & chip shop in East Anglia, but I think it actually exists in Writtle not far from The Wheatsheaf  ;)

That's why I said allegedly. The best one is the Friendly Frier in Maldon at the top of the High St.

+1  When I told Mrs andyf that the E.T.A. was 8pm for the 205K (I got home at 5:15pm) The look on her face told me bailing was the right decision for her
Did 96 miles and know I could have done more.

I got back at 8:45 and am claiming that as a 12 hour 200+km ride as we must have spent 15 minutes helping that chap with his chain. I don't think that's a bad effort for early in the season and I got home feeling quite fresh.

All bodes well for the 300!

Nice one!  I may have to employ you to oversee my DIYs this year as you clearly have a knack for the task.
