Thanks Peter, it really is a lovely place.  Will look for some daylight pics tomorrow.

So much for daylight pics.  Wild and wet today, so I sought refuge in disused railway tunnels, as you do.  The Saltburn-Whitby line closed in 1958, but a couple of the tunnels still remain.  Access strictly forbidden, but I came across these pics of the Kettlewell & Sandside tunnels:

All lit by a trusty Dinotte 200L, without which there was that complete and total darkness rarely seen.

Awaiting the arrival of the others tonight.  8pm Whitchurch, Hampshire.

On our way home via the hill at Barton Stacey, Hampshire. Starry, starry night.

Civic Hall in our Market Square.

Love the corn-on-the-cob pillars on the portico.

Took the wee Panny for a toddle this cloudy morn:

Some lucky buggers out there have got sunshine.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Too crappy to go out so I stayed in and played with "Distortion/Displace" in Photoshop.

Bald Eagle is mine (Hampshire Hawk Conservancy) and flag is a stock image.

Yup.  I'm only surprised it took as long as it did.

Would you like another?

I know, I know, it's a cormorant.  But that doesn't work, does it?

Stepped into the lab to see what the students were up to. Discovered they had been doing some gene splicing with Jellyfish and bacteria.

And got a new official work pic. I set up the lights and got the office manager to take the picture.

Spectacularly gittish day today, into, in and out of Kirkenes way up in the North of Norway close to the Russian border.  My favourites:

Lovely photos.

I like it when the scenery takes on a natural monochrome, you can feel the chill.

Cheers LEE.  Today's best effort was a duochrome:

I've been in with my camera. Does that count?

Just me, a camera and a swivel chair.

Nice one, LEE.
Thanks.

Lots of complex hydraulics required to spin the house round like that without moving the chair... damn, I just thought of a simpler way of doing it.

We went for a walk on a beach when it was blowing a hoolie.

I was quite proud of this...
