Recommend me an external DVD-R for my Macbook?

I need a DVD writer to burn masters from DVD Studio Pro etc. My internal ones not been working great since I dropped my laptop.

Anyone used one? I don't need out and out speed, just reliability I guess.

I use an external USB drive on my Linux box (so I can keep it on my desk with the gubbins underneath). It's a Lacie something or other. My advice is  get a better one - it's cheap and plasticky and as slow as a slug with its foot torn off.
