Jack Klugman RIP
« on: 25 December, 2012, 01:49:05 pm »
Best known for his roles in my favourite film 12 Angry Men, and his role in the long-running, and much-repeated, Quincy ME, Jack Klugman has died, aged 90.

Besides those cited above, Jack was busy almost all his life on TV, in film, and theatre, as a very popular character actor.

He only just avoided being 'named' in the McCarthy witchhunt, and never forgot his good fortune, helping to support blacklisted artists, and, later, appearing in several productions of 'The Value of Names', which depicts the effect on the life of a comic who is named.

Klugman worked hard all his life for good causes, and was a stalwart of the American actors union.

A modest and much loved man.
Getting there...
