I entered this one a few weeks ago, when I realised that my "local" 600 (Galashiels) clashes with something else.  It presents the attractive possibility of getting home to Edinburgh Sunday evening as long as I finish in no more than 38 hrs.

York : the new Comrie.

Interest  picking  up - good

Significant change is there are  two halls  booked, one which you  visit  twice, 200,280K giving  plenty  of  TLC.
The route  has  had all the  gratuitous hills removed, I  cannot  remove the North  Pennines  though.  :)

Are you trying to encourage me or put me off?  ;)
Yon Mr Deano is one of the Good Guys, an ancien of the Snow Roads.
I really think you should do this event, you'll be nicely loosened up for your blast round the Snow Roads the week after.

EDIT
  I've just noticed it's a few weeks later this year, the end of June, so you'll be flying round this  after doing the Snow Roads.

I am planning on using it as a tester for the following month's ride   If I bother.   :-*

OK, that is somewhat reassuring - so much so that I have just entered for 2014  ;D

Can anyone recommend any decent places to stay ? Travelodges, premier inn, BnB or any other for a fri night stay and a possible sun night too.

There are  a  few of us travelling, (including myself).  Premier  Inn blossom St  North looks promising.
e-mail me and we will book some rooms

Had looked at that but at over £80 it's more than i want to pay for a 1 night stay.

Ive booked travel for this one, train south from Edinburgh 18.30 on Fri 27th June and back home Sunday 29th 20.52.  Hope I finish in time.

Made my maiden voyage over Yad Moss on the arrow last week, on this event I get the pleasure of cycling over it twice!

Looking forward to this as my first 600.  Just hope my new rear mech arrives in time! Few questions I'm hoping I can get answers to...
Can anyone confirm whereabouts at the station the start point is please?
And also if anyone knows what the overnight car park arrangements at the station are?
I presume routesheets will be available on the day as there's nothing on aukweb.net or northern-audax.org.uk?

The organiser has been a little busy riding the Irish 1200 this weekend.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

Just got home.  Finished with Chris Radcliffe at 7 but didn't know what pub was arranged for the last control so photo's will have to do.  Thanks for a great ride Aidan and Mrs H.  I'm sore all over now but what else can you expect after your first 600?
