I might turn up the night beforehand too. I'll have to check with Mrs W first and then see if I can squeeze the fourposter into the car along with the bike.

I assume there's no restriction on the amount of alcohol one can bring, is there?

No, but I believe that Section 4, Para 3, Sub-clause iii of the Handbook states that "anyone bringing booze to the start or finish of an event must share said booze with any orgs present".

See also caveats above about drunken carousal and singing of lewd songs after bedtime.

Re: quantity of alcohol.

Sadly last year's apple crop was so poor that there's none of Wobbly's finest scrumpy to share this year.

And anyway I've already started one ride this year hideously hung-over...

Shame. I may have to bring mine. It's the 2011 vintage, a little sharp but quite palatable.

Hi all

After my DNF on 7Across due to a leg issue (IT band being worked on....), the National 400 looks like a good alternative so I can get in a 400 before LEL.
Just wondering if anyone else is doing this?

I think I'm out.
Between work and weather I've not done nearly as much riding as I intended to this year, and between work and audax I've been away a lot lately and I'm being missed at home too much to be doing the necessary long rides to make the 400 "sensible". Another year maybe.
There may well be a travel lodge room going if I can get the train refunded.

Nah....and I'm still fucking I'll. Its been 12 days now.

Really gutted about bcm. I took Adamski to the start then went back to bed for the whole day
