Silly signs
« on: August 18, 2008, 09:35:49 pm »
Racing back home yesterday, I came across a very odd sign, near Tring.  It's on a perfectly ordinary road -

but when you get closer, you can see the police have their very own reserved lay-by!

I can't see why.  There's no donut concession nearby, no hordes of hoodie clad hooligans hanging around.  Very strange.

It's an exclusive police dogging spot.
Never tell me the odds.

There's 2 or 3 of these around Stratford-upon-Avon ... they're for the Camera Gestapo to park up the white van with the window in the back door and catch the errant motorists (there's probably some white paint marks on the road within line of sight for the camera settings)

Slightly immature, but still funny.  This is the emergency handle on a train.

What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

If there are no speed camera markings nearby, it could be a standby point for incidents at a nearby location?

Was this in the same room where you found your knickers lying on the floor later in the day?

The filing room incident!  Didn't that incident involve the loss of a pair of knickers?
