My Nidd gave up the ghost last night. The flange that connected to the tensioning bolt snapped off:


Some signs of corrosion in there.

RIP. 5 Years of service. 13,500km of (mostly) happy bum riding.

That bracket was cracked quite a long way for quite a while before it broke completely.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

Spa offered to replace the part at the cost of P&P (£10) and a probable lead-time of 5-6 months. Dunno if I can be bothered.

I've already ordered a replacement, wish i'd spoken to them first to leverage some discount on a new one instead. Hey ho.

I've ordered an Aire (Swift-alike) this time.

I like the Aire. Obviously bum specific, but I find it very comfy. Some think it a tad firm.
