A friend of mine brought this to my attention as a friend of his is involved.
A group of architects and planners are cycling from Portland, Oregon USA to Portland Place in London - finding out about how different cities support or don't support cyclists. The project is called Portland to Portland and they have a website and blog all at
http://www.portlandtoportland.org/ and you can follow them on Twitter as well.
If you are keen you can join them on bits of the ride - probably the Irish or UK legs.
