Mrs Tiger bought tickets on the day/hour they became available and on Friday we went to see the man - and sat 10 rows back centre! What a total treat.
I last went to see him many years ago when he still had black hair at Hammersmith. He was going through a phase of rejecting his early work and dismissive of the calls for the old songs which was a bit disappointing given the oldies are so good.
This time it was every one of the great LC classics being performed to perfection and a superb lineup backing him.  An unforgettable evening of emotional music. Given hes 79 he remains in awesome shape - I don't think I could drop to my knees and spring up like him, and his voice is if anything even better than in middle age.
Unforgettable - his songs have accompanied me from mid teens though to mid 50's and seeing him like that was a peak experience.
