I do find this all quite amazing really. I mean they are something that most people aren't even aware exist, yet there are so many different types, shapes and styles. I suppose they would employ specialist designers, but something so perfunctory as a water tower you would assume to be a std shape/method of construction, but no, they are all different, each water board/local authority must employ an architect and basically give them a free hand, but with a budget constraint. All rather fascinating really, I wish now, I had been a water tower Architect, instead of pissing about with designing houses and nursing homes.
