Copying "favourites" in Chrome
« on: 13 November, 2014, 11:19:43 am »
A beginners question here. I've invested in a MacBook pro. I'm learning how it works (first non-windows machine in 30+ years!). I'm using Chrome on both old laptop and new Mac. How (assuming I can) can I copy across my browsing favourites?

If you're signed in with Google, it will sync automagically.  I have the same Chrome bookmarks on my work PC, my Mac, my Android phone and my fruityfondleslab.

If you don't want to sync bookmarks, you can "Export to HTML" from the bookmarks manager (right click a bookmark to bring it up) and then import on the other machine.

This is the main (only) reason why chrome is the best browser.
Firefox does have a 'sync' functionality but it makes such a meal out of it I gave up when I tried to get it to work.
