4C here in Suffolk. Apparently early yesterday morning it was -9.8C in the western part of the county, but the lowest I saw was -5C. Today is the first day for some time that the paths have been free of frost.

The lowest we recorded during the recent cold spell was -3.8°C, last Tuesday, around dawn.

13°C according to our north facing outdoor thermometer.

It was beautiful, we ate our lunch outside and the cats were out for hours, instead of hiding indoors sleeping all day.
And the birdies were all tweeting.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

For the first time since Saturday morning the frost on our patio has thawed.

Yeah, not sure what they’re going to do about the Aukl concert, especially as this was already a rescheduled gig. Lots of pissed off fans around the stadium this evening.

I think so. Haven't heard. She lives in Ellerslie. My kids are most uncommunicative.

Funnily enough I keep thinking that I should email mum to let her know we are OK, haven't got around to it yet.

I recorded 14.6 here earlier.

Looks to be going cold again next week, though.

Pressure is unusually high here.  1046mb, was 1048mb earlier.  3.5% higher than normal, which means water boils at 100.9°C.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Yep, 1046.5 here too.

I think yesterday's was a 3-year high as far as pressure was concerned. 1044.8 millibars at 9.42 am.

Has anyone noticed that it hasn't rained for about a month? 1  Or is that just here?

OK, we've had the occasional missley mornings, but not proper rain.

1 Timescale may not be accurate.

It was pishing down here one night last week. I know because it woke me up lashing off the window in the middle of the night.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

We've had no rain at all for a good 3 weeks, just some light drizzle last sat am.  The last 2 days (and it looks like today as well) have been glorious, if a bit cold. I was taken aback to note the temp on my drive to work was -5C, given the forecast wass -2C. Our local cold spot in Chesham was -5.5C at midnight, and a low of -7.7C as the sun cames up!

They mentioned 140 kph winds on the news this morning. Hope you don't get any damage.
