Teesdale with Ruthie
« on: 02 July, 2015, 10:29:17 am »
Ruthie and I had a brilliant day out on bicycles earlier this week. We met up in Darlington mid-morning and rode out through Walworth to Staindrop for tea/coffee at Laurel's coffee shop. Then onward up to Folly Top and down to Middleton-in-Teesdale through gorgeous countryside and in bright sunshine. Toasted sandwiches in Middleton-in-Teesdale and then back via Barnard Castle and ice-cream. Over Whorlton Bridge and the defunct Worlton Lido. 90km... it is fantastic to see Ruthie has her cycling mojo back.

Lovely write-up, Graeme.  You will be one of very few people who have seen Ruth's "bare minimum".  What a shame there is all that street furniture in front of Whorlton bridge, which is pretty much my favourite cycling location.

Thanks again!

Peter

Lovely write up  :)

Don't cry for me Argentina was never a Eurovision entry. Are there any photos of the scarecrows?

10.30 is not mid-morning.  It is the crack of bloody dawn when it's my day off Graeme  :P

It was a lovely day.  Thank you  :-*
