Anyone who knows anything about cats would have noticed the hostile wave of the tail and the imminent mauling that was about to occur.

Actually it was a little odd, there was definitely a bit of stalking there, but the tail was high up (parade tail) which was clearly quite friendly.

I wish I understood cat body language a bit better.
Actually, it is rocket science.
