Euro 2016, Football thing in France

Anyone going to the Euros by bike?

Going with a couple of mates to follow Wales in Euro 2016 final tournament. If you are Welsh, seeing your team in a major tournament is literally a once in a lifetime thing.

We going from Cardiff to Portsmouth, to get the ferry to St-Malo. Then we just head south to Bordeaux to see Wales play Slovakia. We are the going on to Toulouse for the Russian game.

Then we get the TGV to Paris, I could only book two bike places, I hope we can get another one when we turn up. Turning a bike into a luggage is an inconvenience. Then the Eurostar home. The guys looked worried when I said we'd probably need to disassemble the bikes.

Wales v England in Lens is too far away to ride, so we're staying in Bordeaux - which is much nicer anyway.

You want to get a bike on a TGV. Without a reservation. And you're not French.

This is a wind up, right?

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

Er, yeah, I checked again. Reservation compulsory.

I'll have to pick up a bag or box in Toulouse.
