I don't really follow cycling as a sport - although I have seen the TdF twice (once in the Pyrenees, and once in Portsmouth) but I see that this http://www.tourseries.co.uk/home.php is in Pompey in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking of going along - and taking any members of my family who show the slightest interest.

Is it a worthy spectator sport?

As an aside, the website could be better and more explanatory to non-afficioados.

I know several, from here, people that have been to the Durham round. Apparently it is enjoyable and a good evening out.
I feel like Captain Kirk, on a brand new planet every day, a little like King Kong on top of the Empire State

If I'm around on the 9th, then, I may well go along.
