Tennessee bans chemtrails 
I keep seeing that reported as such. Seems to me more like Tennessee
[1] is banning geoengineering / cloud seeding. (I couldn't read
the actual text of the bill, because they blocked up the state intertubes serving
ABROAD.) Which is more "someone who isn't good at maths read a KSR novel" or "vastly overestimating the importance of Tennessee" than banning chemtrails, which - as any conspiraloon will tell you - are about mind control, not manipulating the albedo.
Chucking stuff into the upper atmosphere to cool things down seems increasingly plausible as a thing that someone
[2] with a sufficiency of a) climate desperation and b) shiny metal birbs will attempt at some point. And if they do, they're probably not going to do it from Tennessee anyway.
