Evri - And again!
Following the loss of a bunch of keys just before last Xmas, I ordered couple of replacement keys for my TiGr titanium bike lock a couple of weeks ago.
They're coming from the USofA. £30.00 inclusive of postage
A couple of days ago I received the following text from Evri:
EVRI mail package in the process of transportation, due to damage to the outer package, address information is lost, can not be delivered. Please be sure to update the delivery address information in the link within 12 hours.
https://evri.com-ea.xyz/uk
(Please reply Y, then exit the SMS, re-open the SMS activation link, or copy the link to open in Safari)
The EVRI team wishes you a great day!So I followed the instructions. When I clicked on the link, the response I received was '404 Not found'.
Great.
So I called EVRI's customer help line. This turns out to be a series of pre-recorded replies depending on which buttons you press.
There is no 'Please hold the line and one of our operators will be with you shortly' option.
So I tried their Chatbot.
Again, this is a series of pre recorded replies which ended in 'Your consignment is on its way to you and we expect it to be delivered as scheduled'.
Which doesn't really sit well with the contents of the text they sent me.
Fuckers.
I'm stuffed here.
It would seem that there is no way of getting to speak to a human at EVRI and, believe me, I've tried finding one.
I have the email of an individual at the company who sent the keys out to me, but I don't see them stepping forward to send me a couple of replacement keys gratis, in addition to covering the postage which, in an ideal world, is what I'd really like.
I tried a several of times to contact EVRI again via their customer helpline and their chatbot but this just ended up in causing me to make The Growl of Frustration Noise.
Then, in a moment of Lucid Inspiration I had an idea.
I went onto EVRIs website, found my consignment, and went to the bit where you have the option of 'Not going to be in? Would you like to re-direct the package?'
Whereupon, when it asked me which address I'd like the package re-directed to, I entered my own, and waited.
Thursday afternoon the keys arrived in an absolutely pristine/intact package (from which I'm assuming that the original package must've been royally trashed).
So, all is well at the end of the story.
With little thanks to EVRI.
One thing I find hard to believe is that somewhere in the EVRI depot where my consignment was processed, there must be at least one PC with details of all of the jobs which pass through the depot, including details like errr..... the delivery address of each job.
Muppets.
