Photos from Normandy
« on: 14 September, 2009, 07:30:57 pm »
Overall, cycling in France was an absolute joy and Normandy is beautiful.  My pics can be found here, with some highlights below.

Sunrise over Le Havre

Pont de Normandie looks rather benign from this angle

Église Notre-Dame, Caudebec-en-Caux

Fancy shutter catch

Plenty of room for bikes

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen

Aître Saint-Maclou.  A former charnal house, now l'École régional des Beaux-Arts

Centre ville, Rouen
;D  Andrij.  I pronounce you Complete and Utter GIT

Very good. Another place on the growing list of proposed visits...
Bach without a doubt.

Beautiful place and nice shots; although as a Breton, Normandy wouldn't usually figure highly in my book!  ;D

Normandy is beautiful.  Not as nice as Brittany, of ocurse, Frenchie, but beautiful in itself.  And the contrast of the idyllic landscapes with the immediacy of the horror of the landing beaches is quite striking.
