They did a very good legal job for me 15 years ago but now seem out of touch and the magazine is just a shop window. The only reason I've kept it going recently was it was TPI / legal was a requirement of my club membership but I found it on Direct Line for 1/4 of the membership cost*

* stand alone TPI / legal cover is becoming increasingly hard to find it's usually linked to cycle insurance which I don't need as I have gold cover on home insurance

You can get the cover from laka for about £1.50 a month.

I do think that the mag has got worse, though their article on fnrttc was a welcome change.

I got life membership 14 years ago.  I think I am already in credit vs what membership would have been.

Was also a beneficiary of their legal service a very long time ago and have kept up my membership since.  This time I will let it lapse. I hardly read the magazine and I can get legal cover under my union membership, house insurance, etc.
Sheldon Brown never said leave it to the professionals.

If you're unfortunate enough to need their legal services to claim compensation for personal injury, it's unlikely you'll find the same benefits bundled with other policies or memberships, for reasons discussed before:
