Title: Gale Beck Cottage
Post by: onb on 17 November, 2009, 02:25:20 pm
This used to be one one of the iconic Dales scenery shots ,pristine white cottage set against the backdrop of Ingleborough,it was even featured in a Shell advert (the one were they computer generated a petrol station at Ribblehead) Now its a ruin ,it seems hard to believe I spent nights here when it was under the stewardship of Warrington pothole club.No lecky water parafin lamps ,water from the stream.

Which road is that in the photo?  Is it the main Hawes to Ingleton road?
